Admission Policy Updates
NOTICE
Proposal for variation to the admissions arrangements for September 2021
It is a legal requirement that an Admissions Authority gives notice of any proposed variations to its admissions policy.
Aquila, The Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust as an own Admissions Authority gives notice of a proposed variation to the published Admissions Policy for September 2021-22 of the following schools
All Souls' Church of England Primary School
Archbishop Courtenay Primary School
Charing CE Primary School
Charlton Church of England Primary School
St Georges Church of England Primary School
St Mary of Charity Primary School
Temple Ewell Church of England Primary School
This variation has been taken by Chairs Action on behalf of the Board of Trustees on 06/08/2020. A consultation is not required for the purposes of this amendment but we offer notice of this change.
The reason and purpose of this change equates to the Church based criterion for each school and the definition for Regular Attendance for applications made under this criterion. In light of the measures taken to mitigate COVID 19, it has been necessary to update the definition in each school policy and the Supplementary Information Form. These have been amended to include the following paragraph
In the event that during the period specified for attendance at worship the churches have been closed for public worship and have not provided alternative premises for that worship, the requirements of these admissions arrangements in relation to attendance will only apply to the period when the churches or alternative premises have been available for public worship.
Each revised Admissions Policy and associated Supplementary Information Form for September 2021 admissions year will be published to view on the school website and the Trust Website also. Hard copies can be obtained from the school office on request.
Sincerely yours,
Reverend John S. Richardson
